Internet Commerce Association Releases Annual Report

Efforts to Protect Domain Owners Increased in 2008

Last week, the Internet Commerce Association (ICA) released its 2008 Annual Report, outlining the organization’s activities for the past calendar year. “The ICA has been very active protecting the interests of domain owners,“ said Jeremiah Johnston, Sedo’s representative on the ICA board of directors and current association president. “Our annual report highlights the growth of our membership since our founding two years ago and provides a summary of ICA activities and outreach over the past 12 months.”

As the domain market continues to evolve, the Sedo team strongly encourages all domain owners to protect their online assets by supporting the work of non-profit advocacy groups such as the Internet Commerce Association. Become a member of the ICA today and take the first step to protecting your domain properties in 2009 and beyond.

Founded in 2006, the ICA is a non-profit trade organization representing domain name investors and developers and the direct search industry. The ICA brings together a diverse group of individuals and companies that own, buy, sell and develop domain names. Their mission is to promote and share best practices among participants in the domain name industry and to educate consumers, policy makers, law makers and the media about the value and benefits of direct navigation traffic and the domain name industry.
