Inclusion of a domain in a GreatDomains Auction is at the discretion of Sedo’s brokerage department.
Domains may be approved for a GreatDomains Auction if:
1. The domain extension (TLD) of the domain is considered premium and has a history of high-value sales (such as .com, .net, or .de)
2. The domain is generic, describing an existing product or service. (e.g. like car.com, creditcard.com, or healthcare.com)
5. The TLD geographically matches the language of the domain name
Note 1: You may only submit five domains for consideration per 24-hour period.
Note 2: The specific requirements for any auction event will be clearly stated during the application process.
By applying for a GreatDomains Auction Event you agree to exclusively list, market, and sell the domain through Sedo during the auction and up until 60 days after the auction has ended. While a domain is waiting for auction approval and during the pre-auction period it will be listed as "not for sale" on our marketplace.
How to apply for an Auction Event:
1. Log into your Sedo account.
2. Go to My Sedo > My Domains > Domain Management.
3. Check off up to five listed domains to be considered for an Auction Event.
4. Click the grey “Apply for Auction” button above the domain list and then select the Auction Event name.
5. On the following page enter your reserve and confirm the application.
After a reasonable reserve price has been entered, click "Send application". Applications are carefully reviewed, so each could take up to two business days to review. You will be advised by email of our decision. Our decision is final.
