What is Sedo’s external transfer service?

Sedo offers an Transfer service for agreements reached outside our marketplace, in which we will help facilitate the transfer of funds and domain name. In order to expedite this process, both the buyer and seller must first create free Sedo accounts so that Sedo's complete Terms and Conditions are acknowledged. If you or the other party do not yet have free Sedo accounts, you can register for free on our website.

Once both parties have created and confirmed their Sedo accounts, please send the following to transferservice@sedo.com (this can be sent by either the buyer or seller):
  • Seller's Sedo username
  • Seller's email address
     
  • Buyer's Sedo username
  • Buyer's email address
     
  • The domain being sold/purchased
  • The agreed sales price
  • Party responsible for the 3% fee*

    *Sedo's 3% commission fee (Min. 60 USD) for external transfer requests can be paid by either the buyer or seller. It can also be split between the two parties.
The transaction details will be entered into our database once all required information has been received. You will be assigned a transfer specialist who can help with this process and answer any questions you may have. Please note: The standard marketplace commission will still apply to external transactions, if the parties involved have carried out negotiations over the Sedo marketplace for the same domain.
